I miss writing.

I really do. It's almost a nostalgia really. I write everyday. For many hours too. But most of it is just instant messaging or email. It's quite cheap compared to most thought out forms of writing. I long for capitalization. Punctuation. A nice big capital "T" at the start of a paragraph. A drop cap even.
Everything comes and goes in waves, I suppose.
I don't think that communication should regress to pen pals, envelopes, and letters. But, I think that there's a part of our brain missing out on nourishment. The part that wants to take time in sentence construction. The part that appreciates when that sentence is well-made.
I hope to start bringing some more intelligent writing to this blog. There's only so much laughing out loud, rolling on the floor laughing, and stripped down communication that one can take.
Perhaps everything doesn't need to be faster, or more efficient. What's wrong with taking an hour writing a short paragraph if it's enjoyable? Nothing.
